Fair Trade is
Progress Week 3
Fairtrade labelling (usually simply Fairtrade or Fair Trade Certified in the United States) is a certification system designed to allow consumers to identify goods which meet agreed standards. Overseen by a standard-setting body (FLO International) and a certification body (FLO-CERT), the system involves independent auditing of producers and traders to ensure the agreed standards are met.
For a product to carry either the International Fairtrade Certification Mark or the Fair Trade Certified Mark, it must come from FLO-CERT inspected and certified producer organizations. The crops must be grown and harvested in accordance with the international Fair trade standards set by FLO International. The supply chain must also have been monitored by FLO-CERT, to ensure the integrity of labelled prod.
The first attempts to commercialize fair trade goods in Northern markets were initiated in the 1940s and 1950s by religious groups and various politically oriented non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Ten Thousand Villages, an NGO within the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) and SERRV International were the first, in 1946 and 1949 respectively, to develop fair trade supply chains in developing countries. The products, almost exclusively handicrafts ranging from jute goods to cross-stitch work, were mostly sold in churches or fairs. The goods themselves had often no other function than to indicate that a donation had been made
By 1968, the oversized newsprint publication, the Whole Earth Catalog, was connecting thousands of specialized merchants, artisans, and scientists directly with consumers who were interested in supporting independent producers, with the goal of bypassing corporate retail and department stores. The Whole Earth Catalog sought to balance the international free market by allowing direct purchasing of goods produced primarily in America and Canada, but also in Latin America and South America.
In 1969, the first worldshop opened its doors in the Netherlands. The initiative aimed at bringing the principles of fair trade to the retail sector by selling almost exclusively goods produced under fair trade terms in "underdeveloped regions". The first shop was run by volunteers and was so successful that dozens of similar shops soon went into business in the Benelux countries, Germany, and in other Western European countries.
Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, important segments of the fair trade movement worked to find markets for products from countries that were excluded from the mainstream trading channels for political reasons. Thousands of volunteers sold coffee from Angola and Nicaragua in worldshops, in the back of churches, from their homes, and from stands in public places, using the products as a vehicle to deliver their message: give disadvantaged producers in developing countries a fair chance on the world’s market, and support their self-determined sustainable development. The alternative trade movement blossomed, if not in sales, then at least in terms of dozens of ATOs being established on both sides of the Atlantic, of scores of worldshops being set up, and of well-organized actions and campaigns attacking exploitation and foreign domination, and promoting the ideals of Nelson Mandela, Julius Nyerere, and the Nicaraguan Sandinistas: the right to independence and self-determination, to equitable access to the world’s markets and consumers.
Fair trade is an organized social movement and market-based approach that aims to help producers in developing countries to make better trading conditions and promote sustainability. The movement advocates the payment of a higher price to producers as well as higher social and environmental standards. It focuses in particular on exports from developing countries to developed countries, most notably handicrafts, coffee, cocoa, sugar, tea, bananas, honey, cotton, wine, fresh fruit, chocolate, flowers and gold.

Traveling to Candi Borobudur, Magelang
When I travel to SMK Borobudur Temple is located in the town of Magelang, Central Java. I travel all school graduation celebration. Group from my school is SMK PKP 1 JIS consists of 6 buses, the trip to the Borobudur temple takes one day and night, but although it takes a long time, arriving at Borobudur I keep the spirit because it was greeted with a very stunning natural scenery. Thousands of children of the temple can be seen clearly and magnificence. There appear few private cars stopped at the curb, taking photos with backgraound landscapes. After arriving in Magelang, it turns out the bus and entourage who I used to be in the area of Fleet Estate.
Borobudur is the seven wonders of the world Indonesia is in the country, so many temples in the country ofIndonesia, but only the Borobudur temple which became the seven wonders of the world. A little history about the Borobudur Temple, this temple is a Buddhist temple which was built during King Samaratungga of ancient Mataram kingdom of dynasty dynasty dynasty. Borobudur Temple building punden shaped staircase consisting of ten levels. Six lowest level of a square, two upper circle, and one of the highest levels of Buddhist stupa facing to the west. Borobudur temple has 1460 relief panels that tells several stories and 504 stupas. After muter-muter on the temple, we then go down and right at the exit, we saw a tree with large round green fruit like watermelon but totally green. It turns out that the tree is a tree that was fruitful Maja Maja fruit. (Maybe that's the origin of the fruit majapahit said. * Ngasal *:)) There was also the bodhi tree that formerly used to be imprisoned. When down, the weather turned cloudy and the thing as rain fell. Finally we decided to hurry back to the Terminal Borobudur to return to the city of Magelang. From Terminal Borobudur Temple Borobudur to us using the same gig when we were heading there. After that we went back to the turn of Magelang city using public transportation (public transportation) from the terminal to the central city of Borobudur. In the midst of Magelang city we are looking for souvenirs typical there. By-the typical in Magelang is Gethuk. Gethuk as the famous song in the past that one of his poems reads "Gethuk asale cornerstone telo" was based foods cassava (telo) or cassava. Gethuk famous Magelang currently include Gethuk Trio, Gethuk Eco, and Gethuk complacent. Anyway, from searching on several blogs, Magelang Gethuk history begins when the ancient times hard to get food so that people eat the food from their gardens just like for example cassava. One of the people who named Mr. Ali, creative enough to create Gethuk processed foods from the basic ingredient cassava. Gethuk created by Pak Ali was later famous for delicious and widespread up everywhere as Gethuk Gondhok or Gethuk Ali Gondhok. Gethuk Gondhok this is according to some stories on some blogs is the forerunner Gethuk in Magelang. After Mr. Ali died later gondhok Gethuk production is declining and then unable to compete with brands such Gethuk present.
After buying some souvenirs, then me and my friends back to the bus to get to the inn is located in the plaza area in Yogyakarta. While in the plaza of Yogyakarta is a light rain fell and turned back near my bus and entourage used one selling corn on the cob with a variety of flavors. I and my temanpun then tried savory roasted corn there. Grilled corn using the corn so soft and it feels pretty good, especially when eaten drizzle of rain that further add to delicious. At about 7:30 tonight and then we came back off the bus in Magelang passing lane and up north to Yogyakarta Yogyakarta's 12 o'clock at night.
Pagi tiba, saya dan rombongan bersiap untuk kembali ke Jakarta. Banyak cerita bahagia yang saya dapatkan selama berwisata ke Candi Borobudur. Begitulah pengalaman saya berwisata bersama teman-teman sewaktu SMK :)

BRAND WALL'S
Wall's is a United Kingdom-originated food brand, covering both meat products and ice cream, owned by Unilever. Founded in London in 1786 bybutcher Richard Wall, it was acquired by Lever Brothers, which in 1930 became a part of Unilever, in 1922. To avoid summer lay offs due to the down turn in its core meat products market, in 1920 Wall's launched a range of ice cream. Unilever sold off the meat products business and a licence to use the Wall's brand on such within the United Kingdom in 1996 to Kerry Group. Wall's itself is now core to Unilever's Heartbrand global ice cream business, used currentlyin China, HongKong, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Pakistan,Qatar, Saudi Arabia,Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.

History
In 1786, Richard Wall opened a butcher's stall in St James's Market, London. Selling meat and meat products, he gained a reputation for being a finepork butcher. In 1812, Richard received the first Royal Appointment to George, Prince of Wales as "Purveyor of Pork," continuing to serve him through his later reign as King George IV.
In 1817, Thomas Wall was born, followed by a daughter Eleanor, in 1824. Richard's business boomed, and in 1834 he moved to new premises at 113 Jermyn Street. However, shortly afterwards Richard Wall died leaving his widow, Ann, and 19 year old son to run the business. Trading as Ann Wall and Son, Ann also died very shortly after the death of her husband.
At the age of 19, Thomas Wall took sole charge of the business, plus the care of his 14 year old sister. After the birth of his son Thomas Wall II in 1846, Thomas Wall incorporated the business as "Thomas Wall and Son Ltd." Thomas Wall II served his apprenticeship and joined the company board in 1870, and after second son Frederick had followed the same path, the company name was changed in 1878 to "Thomas Wall & Sons Ltd." Throughout this period, the business maintained its high level standards and resultant recognition, gaining a series of Royal Appointments from Queen Victoria, King Edward VII, King George IV and King George V.
The business had always faced a problem in the summer, when sales of meat, meat pies and sausages fell, and the company was forced to lay-off staff. Now led by Thomas Wall II, he proposed developing a line of ice cream in 1913 to avoid the lay offs. But the onset of World War I put the plan on hold due to shortages.Thomas Wall II decided to retire, and so sold the business in 1920 toMac Fisheries, which itself was acquired in 1922 jointly by Lever Brothers and Margarine Unie, the founder companies of Unilever.
Now under the direction of Maxwell Holt, ice cream production commenced in 1922 at a factory in Acton, London. As ice cream grew in significance, Unilever split the company into two, T Wall and Son (Ice Cream) Ltd and T Wall and Son (Meats) Ltd. In 1959, Wall's doubled capacity by opening a purpose built ice cream factory in Gloucester, England. In 1981 Unilever merged T Wall and Son (Ice Cream) Ltd with Birds Eye Foods Ltd to form Birds Eye Wall's Ltd. Following a review of production facilities, the Gloucester factory was expanded and updated, and the Acton factory was closed ("Project Phoenix" 1983).

After the purchase of sausage and pate producer Mattessons in 1965, Unilever ran both companies as part of Unilever Meat Group UK under the chairmanship of Werner Mattes, eventually merging the two companies to form Mattessons Wall's following his retirement in 1986.
Following a review, in 1994 Unilever sold off Mattessons Wall's, the ownership to the Mattessons brand, and a licence to sell meat products within the UK under the Wall's brand to Kerry Foods. Still a prominent manufacturer of sausages and meat pies, their advert for "Wall's Balls" mimic a scene from the filmThere's Something About Mary. Wall's Balls was introduced February 2003 with a series of humerous TV adverts.
Ice cream
Unilever continues to use the brand for ice cream in the UK. Whilst remaining (2006) the market leader in the UK for individual hand-held products such as Cornetto and Magnum, and value-added multi-portion products designed to be eaten at home, such as Viennetta, the Wall's brand faces severe competition from the major supermarket brands and to a lesser extent from Nestle (absorbing theRowntree's and Lyons Maid brands) and Mars spin-off ice cream products.
Wall's was introduced in Pakistan at the start of 1995. Soon after its launching Lever Brothers purchased all assets of Polka Ice Cream, the only large competitor in Pakistan to Wall's ice cream.
Environmental impacts
On 1 May 2008, Unilever Group Chief Executive Patrick Cescau announced that all Unilever’s palm oil will be certified sustainable by 2015. He also told the audience at the Prince of Wales’ May Day Climate Change Summit in London that Unilever was supporting the call for an immediate moratorium on any further deforestation in Indonesia for palm oil plantations.

Arti 10 bulan
